Pride 25: From Silence to Celebration

Pride 25: From Silence to Celebration
Our humble beginnings started in June of 1992 when Spokane PFLAG organized a march on the sidewalks of downtown Spokane. This June marks the 25th year we've celebrated Pride in Spokane. Join us for a day to celebrate where we've been, where we are, and where we're headed. Please come and enjoy the day of festivities and Pride with us. Everyone is welcome.
The Pride Parade starts downtown at Noon so be sure to get down early. Our Rainbow Festival opens immediately following the Pride Parade. The Rainbow Festival will be at Riverfront Park Gondola Meadows (by the Bloomsday runners). Live Entertainment including headliner Beverly McClellan, Resource and Business Fair, Family Area (including a climbing wall from Wild Walls, petting zoo from Second Chance Ranch, and the WSU Raptor Club), Odyssey Teen Zone presented by INBA Outreach, and the Pride Bar sponsored by nYne featuring Beer, Wine, & Spirits await you. Bring your entire family for a day of fun.
To mark the 25th Pride, OutSpokane has assembled a History Wall to highlight milestones and chart the growth of Pride in Spokane. From our first marchers with covered heads to hide their identity to our first year with the Color Guard marching, we'd like you to remember the past while looking toward the future. Be sure to stop by the History Wall at the Rainbow Festival during the day of festivities.
This year will feature an art show curated by JJ Rocco called Pride's Palette. 40 artists will have Pride related exhibits for sale with 30% of proceeds being donated to OutSpokane. Pride's Palette will be near the North West section of the Rainbow Festival under the Gondola rides, near the nYne Pride Bar.
Also this year our celebration will be going into the night with an all ages dance party hosted by DJ Jewels. The Pride Bar sponsored by nYne will stay open late and for the first time in our history, at approximately 10pm, there will be a fireworks display to commemorate Spokane's 25 years of Pride!
We hope to see you there.
